About Cancun Scuba Center
The center focuses on personalized diving in small groups, for first-time divers as well as experienced and certified divers. It uses certified instructors and divemasters and says it supplies diving equipment and fast boats equipped with VHF radio and oxygen.
The operator lists two dive shops in Cancun’s Hotel Zone and offers guided diving and customized packages, which makes it useful both for guests at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun and for divers using Cancun as a base for a wider Riviera Maya itinerary.

PADI courses in Cancun
The training program includes Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Open Water Referral, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Specialties include cavern diving, night diving, wreck diving, underwater photography, underwater naturalist and Nitrox. Prerequisites, learning materials and the number of training dives vary by course.
For first-time divers
You do not need to arrive certified. Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory program with about 1½ hours of training followed by a dive in the National Park, to a listed maximum depth of 30 feet. Participants with certain medical conditions may need physician authorization, so disclose any relevant conditions and follow the operator’s screening requirements.
Snorkeling in Cancun and the cenotes
The center also runs snorkeling trips in Cancun and to Riviera Maya cenotes. Cancun snorkeling is promoted as a family-friendly way to see marine life without certification, while the cenote option explores freshwater caverns and may include snorkel gear, a wetsuit and an underwater light.
