Cancun Mexico

In the seventies the Mexican Government, together with a group of businessmen, began to carve out the perfect universe known today as the "Mayan Caribbean", since then the sights have come alive, as well as the jungle landscapes, seascapes, and urban developments.  Sensuality has taken on a new name: Cancun.

There are two parts to Cancun.  The city of Cancun, which is on the mainland of the Yucatan Peninsula, and the Hotel Zone which is on "Isla Cancun".  The city of Cancun is a fast growing community, where all the locals live as well as the people who come from all over Mexico to work in the tourism industry.  Cancun's Hotel Zone is a strip of land that is connected with bridges at both ends.  The Cancun Hotel Zone is wide enough for a 4 lane boulevard, hotels and resorts, restaurants and bars, night clubs and golf courses.  The Cancun Hotel Zone is lined with beautiful turquoise Caribbean waters and powder soft white sand beaches.  Between the mainland and the Hotel Zone is the Nichupte lagoon, the body of water that divides the two.

The Caribbean side of the Cancun Hotel Zone is where all of the high end hotels and resorts reside, with many of these resorts being all inclusive.  The resorts provide beach lounge chairs, and ample shade.  You can participate in motorized water sports on the Caribbean side, such as wave runners, parasailing, and deep sea fishing.  For the non-motorized water sports, you have to go to the lagoon side.  There you can take a sailing or windsurfing lesson, go snorkeling, kayaking, or exercise your legs on a peddle boat.  To improve your tan, the Caribbean beaches are some of the nicest beaches in the world.
