Your video begins with an introduction of the
Barceló Maya
Beach Resort and the surrounding area
with a rhythmic tropical Caribbean music playing
in the background.
This is continued by filming the bride to be as
she is getting prepared in the room in
anticipation of that special moment and of course
the last minute wedding jitters are all captured
on tape. This is followed by the bride's
descent from the hotel room to the alter where her
husband to be patiently awaits her grand
entrance. The wedding ceremony is filmed
until the happy couple say their "I
do's" and toasting to friends and family.
The duration of the video is approximately half
an hour. Conversion of the video if
necessary is at no additional cost. Your
memories of your special day are delivered
personally to you the following day.
Details and locations of your photo session
should be agreed upon arrival with the
photographer. Payment must be in cash.

Required documents for Barceló Maya weddings
The following is a list of the necessary documentation required by
law. This could vary depending on the nationality of the
couple
All necessary paperwork is handled directly by your Wedding
Coordinator. We require a minimum of 3 working days notice to
complete all formalities. The Bride, Group, Witnesses are
required to be at the Barceló Maya Beach Resort for a minimum of 3
working days prior to the wedding ceremony.
With Passport: (advised)
- Copy of the Passport (groom and bride)
- Certified copies of the birth certificates,
Divorce Decree or Death Certification (The judge will keep them)
- Copies of passport or ID with picture (4
witnesses)
- Tourist Card (Groom, Bride & 4 witnesses)
- Blood work (name, blood type, Syphilis and HIV
test) and Spanish Translation (blood work can be done at the
resort, or if you bring the results from your country, we can do
the Spanish Translation at the resort). The cost for the
blood work per couple is $68.00 USD, and the Spanish Translation
is $34.00 USD
Without Passport
- Certified copies of the birth certificates,
Divorce Decree or Death Certification (The judge will keep
them). They must be certified by the Mexican Consulate.
- Spanish Translation of the birth
certificate. Also, must be certified by the Mexican
Consulate.
- Copy of ID with picture (groom, bride and 4
witnesses)

- Blood work (name, blood type, Syphilis and HIV

You have to
be in Mexico for 48 hours before you can get
married. Barcelo Maya prefers the wedding party to
be there for 3 days prior to ensure all the required documents are
ready.
